Text description provided by the architects. The exhibition SO100, presented during May-June at the zezeze architecture gallery, will present 100 works by architects Shahar Lulav and Oded Rozenkier, many of which have received various awards in Israel and internationally. The architects' unique works will be presented by utilizing a wide variety of media including physical models, renderings, films, drawings and plans.
The exhibition design creates an experience where the architects direct the visitor's viewing perception using free movement on mobile office chairs. The various exhibits occupy a three-dimensional grid above the viewer's head, and in an analogy to urban flaneury, the visitor experiences the exhibition in an unusual angle while moving about freely. Similarly to an urban excursion, the visitor may enter more intimate spaces where theme presentations of the architects' works are presented. Such themes include the handling of light, space, scenario, materiality, section, and other issues underlying their architectural work, receiving a unique and moving expression in the projects of Lulav and Rozenkier.
During the exhibition, the gallery will host a variety of open events. The planned events include a gala opening, talks by architects Lulav and Rozenkier, a talk by Yotam Bezalel Studio on commercial graphic branding, a talk on File to Factory techniques and demonstrations by RC-CG A, an event during the Houses From Within weekend and more.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a book dedicated to the works of the architects, presenting various projects as well as theoretical texts written by Lulav and Rozenkier as a background to the exhibition, presenting their architectural worldview.
